Beauty and the Beast
Audition Information

It's a tale as old as time...in a bold, brand-new production presented by Pixie Dust Productions. “Beauty and the Beast” is an enchanting timeless favorite, bringing the tale of Belle, her Beast, and his enchanted palace to brilliant life. Join Mrs. Potts and Chip, Lumiere and Le Fou, Gaston and the rest for this magical tale of the transformative power of love — to the tune of such favorite songs as "Be Our Guest," "Home," and "Beauty and the Beast."

Date:              Saturday June 27th
                      Time 10am to 1pm - scheduled appointments only
Open auditions – these auditions will be in half hour groups. When you call or email please indicate what time slot you would prefer. Please prepare one song (no accapella singing): an accompanist will be provided. Please bring resume and current headshot and clean, clear sheet music. When you sign up please indicate what part/parts you are auditioning for.
Date:              Saturday June 27th
                      Time 2pm to 6:30pm - audition by invitation  
Invitation only – Director and Musical Director will invite actors to audition – times according to roles. Beast, Belle & Gaston from 2 to 3:30. Lumiere, Babette, Mrs. Potts & Cogsworth from 3:30 to 5. Maurice, Mme de la Grande Bouche & Le Fou from 5 to 6. Silly Girls from 6 to 6:30. Actors will sing songs from the show and will be given advance notice.
Date:              Sunday June 28th
                      Time 9:00am to 10:00am – ensemble dance auditions (invited)
                      Time 9:30am to 12:45pm – callbacks by invitation

Invitation only – Director and Musical Director & Choreographer will invite actors from open and invited auditions to callbacks to read and sing. More information regarding these call- backs are to come. Actors will not be called the entire time and will be able to leave after they are finished.

                      Time 6:30am to 9:30pm – possible callbacks

Beast
(Baritone A - high F) Bitter prince under the spell of a witch as a punishment for being selfish. Hot tempered, belligerent,
but carries a loving heart beneath his gruff exterior


Belle                  
(Lyrical Mezzo/Soprano with belt, Low E to High F) Strong-willed, loving, loyal, intelligent, vibrant

Maurice                 
(Baritone Bb - high Db) Eccentric inventor, Belle's loving father

Gaston                 
(Baritone A - high F) Belle's handsome, ultra masculine and egotistical suitor. Thinks himself to be a good catch. Both
comical and sinister.


Le Fou                 
(Tenor/Baritone B - High F#) Gaston's bumbling, toady sidekick

Lumiere                 
(Tenor/Baritone A - High F#) Charming, suave, and debonair servant-turned-candelabra

Cogsworth                 
(Baritone A - high E) A tightly-wound, enchanted mantle clock, head of the Beast's household

Mrs. Potts                 
(Mezzo F3 - F5) Caring, warm-hearted and maternal housekeeper-turned-tea pot

Babette                 
(Soprano C - high C) A saucy maid turned enchanted feather duster and the object of Lumiere's affection

Mme de la Grande Bouche                 
(Mezzo/Sop F3 - G5) A former opera diva turned enchanted wardrobe
